Dr. Li received her Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from University of New Orleans in 2003, where she worked with Richard Cole studying the fundamental mechanisms underlying electrospray ionization technique and developing ESI-MS methods to observe lipid-peptide noncovalent interactions. From 2004-2005, Dr. Li was a Research Associate at Center for Advanced Proteomics Research, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. In 2005, she worked as an Instructor at Protein Chemistry Core, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. She was promoted to Research Assistant Professor in 2008, in charge of LC/MS/MS-based services including protein identification, post-translational modification analysis, and protein quantification. Dr. Li joined NINDS as the Manager of Protein/Peptide Sequencing Facility in 7/2012. Her current interest is to provide the NIH neuroscience community with high level of proteomics services.
