Dr. Sang Su Oh  recently joined NINDS as a Clinical Veterinarian, Staff Scientist for AHCS. Before joining NINDS, Dr. Oh was an assistant professor at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Oh received his Veterinary Medical Doctorate (DVM) from Kon-Kuk University College of Veterinary Medicine in Korea and subsequently completed his Master in Neuroscience at Ajou University College of Medicine. Upon completion of his studies, he worked for over a decade at University of Michigan Department of Neurology, serving as the Research Scientist and Research Faculty. Since then, Dr. Oh completed a small animal rotating internship at Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine, a small animal surgical internship at Veterinary Specialty Center, and a Laboratory Animal Medicine Residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Now, he is a Diplomate for the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine (DACLAM). He has a special interest in rodent surgical model development and will support the NINDS building 49 marmoset colony and several rodent IC’s in buildings 10 and 35. Dr. Oh brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to enhance our program.
