Dr. Pat McGurrin joined NINDs in 2024, and currently serves as a Scientific Program Analyst within the OSD, supporting scientific operations which include: Board of Scientific Counselor reviews, annual reports, manuscript clearance, PI grants & awards, and scientific communications. He joins us from the University of Maryland where he served as an assistant clinical professor. Dr. McGurrin is also a former member of the Human Motor Control Section (Medical Neurology Branch), where he worked with Dr. Mark Hallett in using noninvasive neurophysiological tools to characterize the pathophysiology of human movement disorders. Dr. McGurrin received his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Arizona State University with a graduate certificate in Responsible Innovation in Science, Engineering, and Society. He received his B.S. in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh.
