Dr. Khan received his M.D. from Baqai Medical & Dental College in Karachi, Pakistan in 1999 and received his ECFMG certificate in 2001. He completed his post¬graduate Residency training at Virginia Commonwealth University, Medical College of Front Royal, Virginia in 2006; a Neurology Residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center at Lebanon, New Hampshire in 2009; and a Clinical Neurophysiology and a Clinical Epilepsy Fellowship in NINDS in 2010 and 2011, respectively. Dr. Khan excelled serving as the Director of both the Neurology Consultation Service and the Medical Education Unit at NINDS from 2014 to 2018.  Dr. Khan is a triple board-certified clinician with a solid background that gives him critical insight to the unique clinical neurological disease presentations encountered at the NIH as well as the clinical care system as a whole. He is a board-certified ABPN neurologist, a board-certified ABPN Clinical Neurophysiology, as well as a board-certified ABCN Clinical Neurophysiologist with a specialty track in Epilepsy Monitoring.
