Dr. Julie Brent-Cummins recently joined NINDS as a Clinical Veterinarian, Staff Scientist for AHCS. Before joining NINDS, Dr. Brent-Cummins was a Clinical Veterinarian for DVR at the NIH Poolesville, MD campus. Dr. Brent-Cummins studied Zoology at The Ohio State University, before obtaining her MPH in Veterinary Public Health at OSU and DVM at Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Brent-Cummins completed a Laboratory Animal Medicine residency at The University of Pennsylvania and is a Diplomate for the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine (DACLAM). She has a special interest in non-human primates and will primarily support the NINDS building 49 marmoset colony and several rodent IC’s in buildings 10 and 35. Dr. Brent-Cummins brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to enhance our program.
