Dr. Joanna Malukiewicz is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow (Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Action funded) in the German Primate Center, Primate Genetics Laboratory, Leibniz Institute for Primate Research in Göttingen, Germany. She is also a candidate to lead the new NINDS/NIMH Reproductive Biology and Genetics Core Facility. Her research focuses on understanding the evolution, diversity, adaptation, and hybridization of Callithrix marmosets. Her program includes work with both captive and wild populations of all six Callithrix species and combines innovative molecular approaches with bioinformatics expertise. Her overall aim is not only to broaden the biological insight into Callithrix but also facilitate marmoset usage as biomedical models. She also has long-standing interest in the development and improvement of Callithrix genomics resources. Read her full research statement and PUBLICATIONS.
