Lecture Specific Educational Objectives:  
 
After attending this activity the participant will demonstrate the ability to:
 
  • Review the role of traveling waves in epilepsy and iEEG recordings 
  • Consider the influence of macroscopic-scale neural activity (traveling waves) on microscopic-scale neural activity (local neuronal ensembles)
  • Better understand some of the detailed physiology underlying focal seizures and the implications for different therapeutic approaches
