Background
The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) will be holding a workshop entitled “Imaging the Future of In vivo Neuropathological Diagnosis through Postmortem Analyses”. The workshop will assemble a group of researchers who are either directly involved in or perform research that is relevant to postmortem neuropathology research in order to identify gaps and needs in the field with the goal of improving in-vivo diagnosis, primarily as it relates to traumatic brain injury and vascular contributions to cognitive impairment and dementia.
Current topics include bench work / high-throughput neuropathology; in vivo and postmortem image acquisition and processing; and data analytics. The meeting will take place virtually over two days and will consist of three primary groups of discussants, as well as others who are involved in or have an interest in the field.
